Starting this thread to collate information about this core file.

This one seems to be mostly the same as the Civ4 one (http://forums.civfanatics.com/archive/index.php/t-295622.html).

In terms of differences, for one, some of the post-defines don't seem to quite work as you'd expect.

The standard type settings generally don't work at all. They do not affect the game settings as they did in Civ4, where it allowed you to have a preset before you start the game.

On the other hand, the STANDARD_HANDICAP has changed from being the human handicap to the major AI civ handicap. This means that if you set this to Deity, the AI will have the human entry section of the Deity difficulty level and additionally the AI entry section or the difficulty that you end up choosing in game for yourself. That also explains why the AI has rather high levels of happiness at all difficulties even if you set the unhappy modifier at 100. Note that the AI_HANDICAP entry is gone in Civ5.

Please add further findings you make :)
