I played the Netherlands for my first game and lucked out with a pretty good start location. Have to say, I love Wilhelmina. I prefer making money and going for culture - her river bias allows for some amazing district adjacencies.
I'm concerned now she'll be a leader I keep coming back to instead of trying out other civs more thoroughly.
I tried a second game as Poundmaker, had to restart a few times (having pretty bad luck - or they have some underwhelming start biases). Then I just wasn't able to keep up for some reason, not like I did as the Dutch. Finally gave up that game.
Then I almost played as Scotland, which appeals to me decently enough even if its a bit better for science. But switched to try the Dutch a second time. Had a good game, thought I lucked out at the start with two rivers running parallel... but got quashed in on all sides pretty quickly - by the Renaissance I called it quits.
Since then I've almost played as Georgia. Considered the Mapuche. Korea actually has some culture affinities so I considered Seondeok.
Then I started my newest game. As the Dutch.
