Gold bug Tragedy

I'll admit it. I tried to the gold bug as the romans on Diety level. Yeah, it was hard to get someone to sign for peace, and I got them to give me 1111111111 for twenty years. Well... calamity.

After they signed a peace treaty, another civ came along (Zulu's), and swiped a city out of my hands. I was like, thats ok. I kept fighting, and took the city back. When i did, I got back like, 165000 gold from the zulu!!! What happens next, the zulu fight the Iriquois, and then the Aztecs, and then the Americans... all the suden, Civs are demanding 120,000 gold for peace, techs cost in the millions, civs are mass producing, and war has just got stupid. Had to quit, it was never ending conflict.

That´s called inflation, too much money in the market make
prices higher. Why didn´t you continue to play for a while
to see how things would develop? Curious game....

Yes, the "Gold Bug" Provides Huge Inflation to the Game but for those wanting to use it to totally Kill the AI, simply use it to gain Fantastic Wealth and BUY ALL the AI Cities!!!...YES, the AI will most certainly sell you any and all of their cities for a price...and you will be more than able to buy them all fast (you will have Hundreds of Millions) and buy anything you want in your cities (except Wonders). The AI will only have their Capitols and you can Kill them ALL any time or play around as you wish. IT IS A BIG GAME KILLER BUG but this one favors human players! After playing around with this, most players will not use it because it is No Challenge and therefore Ruins the Game. And BTW, for any who do not know what the "Gold Bug" is, it is simply suing for peace for Extremely Large amounts of Gold per turn ($111111111). The AI Accepts this Rediculous demand!!! This is for 20 turns! With enough Gold, you can Win Fast or dominate the game in what ever manner you wish to play. If you use this Bug, don't expect the game play to continue as normal regarding Money...Because this Greatly Alters that aspect of the game and you cannot then try to simply pretend that all is normal in the game and not use your Wealth. Bottom line...if you use this Bug, BUY the AI Cities and Dominate the World. Who cares how much money the remaining AI Capitols have. And anyway, you will still have more Gold than they do. Set Science on 100% and also buy any techs you don't have. You will also have a Great reputation from simply buying all the cities and it is Soooooo nice of you to give gifts of Gold to the puny AI Civs remaining, you Generous One you.
