I was just wondering what you guys think are the best Civ/Leader combos on unrestricted leaders for different victory types. The Leaders and Civs can be from BtS.

I will be editing this post later on to post what I think are some good combos. You may or may not agree.

Diplomatic: Gandhi/India

The UU is domestic, and the entire point of Gandhi is to be nonviolent. Works well for Diplomatic Victories, especially when you found religions.

Boudicca of Rome is awesome for Conquests.

Ghandi of Rome is awesome for GPP. Forums +philosophical.

Churchill of Native America and a fuedalism or machinery slingshot makes for a pretty disgusting army.

Gandhi IS the leader for India... this is your best option even among unrestriced leaders?

Rome + philosophical. Nasty combo, perfect for an SE.

Dutch + Huyana Capac. Builders heaven. Financial bonus sits well with the ocean cities of the Dutch, industrial sits well with the production bonus.

Inca + aggressive. For that mean early rush.

Unless I'm mistaken, Quechua begin with Combat I regardless of any other traits. Cheap barracks might help, though...

hammurabi of sumer seems like one of the best combos for sp at least.

Aggressive is horrible, the clear worst trait in the game. Anything it can do, Charismatic can do better. Napoleon of Sumer, then.

Or Darius. I mean, does Sumer really need help from Aggressive or Charismatic to slaughter their neighbor with a quick vulture rush? Nah. They'd rather have traits to give them a strong economy once the early war is won. Organized to halve the cost of the already amazing UB, plus financial to make the many cities you can afford to have that much more profitable.... mmmmm. Good stuff.
