good gameplay on min specs = (read on)

hey all,

I know there are multiple problem with the game and I am not one to argue. however I am getting no lag gameplay in the later stages of a game on huge map, 12 civs on min specs. my specs are
1.4 ghz
128mb gf 2 gts
1 gig ram

First i loaded omega drivers, big help. game was still running poorly in late stages so i turned all graphics to low. game runs great now. i miss seeing three units but i can deal. I am guessing my 1 gig ram has something to do with it. just wanted to share, hope this helps someone. so give it a try if you are on min specs.

1 Gig RAM is NOT min spec.

I have 256 MB RAM and I can run it but only small maps. I haven't loaded omega drivers yet. Thanks I'll try it now.

wow that is crazy........i have:
AMD 2.1 GHZ
1.5 GIG RAM
and a GeForce 6600 GT 128 MB.....i have more RAM than you, yet i can only run it perfectly through the whole game on small, tiny, and duel maps.
this definitley confirms that i do have a problem and it is not simply due to my specs.

Agreed. The real "fix" is to buy a gig of ram.
