good laptop to run civ 6 well?

Currently looking at a surface laptop w/ intel core i7, 8GB ram and 256GB ssd. I really don't know a thing about computer hardware or gaming hardware so I'm playing this by ear quite a bit, but I'm hoping this would be enough to run civ 6 smoothly? If it would be a lot better I could also upgrade it to 16GB w/ 512GB ssd (if its really worth it). Any help would be sweet

I personally run civ 6 on my second pc most of the time, it’s a laptop that is two years old, no i7, less than 8 gb ram, but a 256 GB ssd. And civ 6 runs smoothly, without problems I only don’t know if it’s possible to use highest graphic settings.
It even run smoothly with using a custom map with bigger map size, from the YNAEMP-mod, the giant earth map. So I don’t see why you should have problems with using a laptop for civ 6.
