GOTM 61: Results & Congratulations

Despite being reduced to PTW-only, the Civ3 GOTM is still going strong. Whilst we only had 27 entries for GOTM 61, the good news for those that entered is that over half got some sort of award!

The 'top' award went to klarius, who narrowly edged-out kunningas. Paul#42 grabbed bronze.

An acceptance looks different to me than: "Well I'm doing this every time (... and will not abstain this time to hurt your feelings)".

An acceptable acceptance would have been: "Hey, great idea mate, I will compete and give all my power into these first 80 turns to get this high decoration!!!"

But I appreciate your attempt to make me feel better

Socralynnek: Sorry about that chief...I was hoping to get the 100K medal in my attempt at join the Eptathlete ranks (or get them to change the rules before my unworthy self is mentioned alongside the legends that reside there). I wasn't sure that I'd get one on GOTM 60 (which I did) so I went for it again on GOTM 61 and by luck also got that one. You're safe from me trying for it again as that was a lot of time that I'd rather not commit in the future.

Oh, BTW congratulations to all of award winners particularly the K-Boys at the top.

Went for the diplomatic win, figuring I had the votes, but two of the ones I thought I had voted for the other guy. Next time, I'll start a damn war with the other candidate first.

Sorry about that, but I do do the QSC every time, not the least because I never know if I get the chance to complete the games.

As expected it appears I only win it sometimes because of the low turn-out. Olé to the winner!
