The Problem:
At the City Management Window (ya know the one that you can pick what your city is builing & has the little circles around the areas around the cities) my PC will intermittently (seems to be related to mouse movement/clicking) display multicolored boxes, at which point I can do nothing except reboot the PC to correct.
- Screen goes to all multicolored rectangles, reminds me of an Atari 2600 booting.
- <CTRL><ALT><DEL> does nothing
- Can see the "pointer" move a lilttle with mouse, but unable to click anything.
The Game:
Civ IV Gold edition
- Checked for updates but unable to find any patches at official site.

Solutions:
- looked for game patches, unabel to find any.
- Changed resolution from 12XX x 8XX to 1024x768, no effecct
- Changed resolution from full screen to windowed, crash WAS happening at anytyme, no only occurs at city management screen.
Basic stuff I have yet to try:
Update video drivers/Direct X
(I hate updating nvidia drivers as it always messes stuff up.)
Different resolutions, there was definatly a change when switching from Full Screen to windowed mode, possibly a conflict with dual monitors with dual resolutions....
I really dont know what to do, any help would be appreciated.
