Graphics Card Problem

I feel really silly right now, but I have to ask.
I had problems with my PC so I had to re-set CMOS settings in order to fix something. Obviously a lot of information got erased. I was fine with that as I managed to fix almost everything. The only thing that I cannot "re-establish" is my graphics card.
Now the embarassing bit:
I know that I'm missing some settings cuzI cannot now play some of the games I could before. But I have no idea how to check what devices I have, what I need to install, is it a HW or SW problem or even if they drives are installed or operational. I still have CDs that came with the computer, but since there are many other CD I'm not sure which one is the one I need.
What do I need to start with to solve this mess? I use Win XP (Home) :).

1. What are your graphics card and motherboard specs?
2. Have you tried updating the BIOS to a more recent version?
3. If you have an AGP graphics card, what is the primary graphics set to in your BIOS (if your BIOS has that option) - AGP or PCI?
4. What is the AGP Graphics Aperature Size set to? Does it match your card's memory?
5. Do you have the latest drivers installed for your graphics card?

1. Thats what I do not know
2. No
3. I think its AGP
4. No idea
5. No
Perhaps you could tell me where to check for all those things? :)......

Those are mostly options within the BIOS - at least, a typical BIOS. Every motherboard differs. Don't change any of the settings if you have no idea what you are doing.
