Here is a SMAC-X Graphics Mod: New Fungus

I changed the graphics of the sea fungus from blue to pink:

I see the logic behind it, and I see that the change of color is done well, but I feel the pink looks a bit misplaced with the rest of the water surface.

I will however download and try it, as it might be a good idea...

It does make the fungus stand out against the ocean background and therefore is a visual improvement. Actually the pink is not so out of character for sea-based creatures eg reef fish and starfish among many others.

What is that (presumably Alien Crossfire) unit next to "New Sargasso?"
