Yes, I know the Title is very un-specific, since I have no idea what to call my problem.
Randomly, when I start up Beyond the Sword 3.13 w/ Bhruic's unofficial patch, after the "Int. Python, Int XMl, Int. Game Engine" screen, the monitor goes black. Then the black goes to the corner (leaving an inch gap around it where I can see the Background), then back, etc, etc. Also, a grey box (not a dialog box format) which has buttons resembling those on my monitor comes up, saying "Desact-Monitor (.exe)" (I'm not sure about the .exe part). The monitor is a HP Pavillion f1903, and the computer an HP Media Center PC m1297c, running Windows XP Media Center Edition SP2.
I've managed to solve the problem by restarting the computer, but sometimes this doesn't work. I thought the monitor had its own memory (am I right?), so if this problem came up, I would turn off the monitor (thinking the Desact screen was letting the monitor refresh), but that just exited the program and gave me this screen.
Any thoughts, comments, and suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.
