great generals broken

the civilpedia says that if you add the great general to your city you should then get +2 experience per military unit created. i added two separate generals to two different cities (one a capital, one not), and I got no more experience per unit than granted by the barracks. The units get produced with only 3 experience (because there is a barracks in both cities, already) as was done before adding the great general.

I am using BTS v3.13.

Did you draft units at the city instead of building them normally? If you drafted you would only get half XPs or half of 5 XP rounded up which is 3 XP.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't realize that about draftees, cool, founds out something new . However, I did not draft any citizens when this occurred. I was mid stream building a unit when I merge the great general and that unit did not receive the experience. Again, after that unit was built all other new units thereafter also did not receive the extra XP. Any other ideas what might cause this issue?

Did you settle the Great General, or did you accidentally build a military academy?

It was definately not the acadamy, as I didn't have the technology available to me yet. I started a new game and it is working, so far. But, it is deninately not working in the old game. *shrug* maybe the save/game was corrupt or something?
