Hi,
an idea I had for Civ was the introduction of ground-based transport units. These would most likely be weak units that could move with the speed of, say, a Tank and most likely would come with the Replaceable Parts or Motorized Transport advances (around infantry). Its annoying in Civ that there are no halftrack / truck type units that can move ground-based units around quickly. This would lead to better blitz-style attacks. It is kinda unrealistic to have infantry forced to move one square / turn in the modern ages with no resistance in enemy territory. Why not have a transport unit (like the covered trucks in WWII) that can transport these units around ground quicker?
any thoughts?
