First of all, is it feasible to look at completing a mod with only 12-14 hours a week to work on it, if I'm starting with no modding knowledge, besides a loose understanding of programming logic?
I plan on reading Kael's guide on my next day available and starting from there. The goals of my planned mod are as follows:
1) Tweaks to Barbarian encampments to allow, after Classical Age, to have health, like a city but no cultural borders.
2) Allow spawning of Barbarians and camps, after Classical Age, inside cultural boundaries with a mechanic based on your Global Happiness (if it's negative)
3) Add more Barbarian UUs for different flavour throughout the ages. (IE; Highwaymen, Bandits, Warlords during Medieval, Pirates/Warlords for Renaissance and Revolutionary/Guerrillas during Industrial/Modern)
4) Add Revolution Mechanic based on Empire Unhappiness and if Barbarians/Guerrillas capture a city, allowing the spawning of a new "Revolution" civ.
That's a lot to start out with, and depending on my success learning and if, after I get started, I get help, I'd like to expand it to be an even more full featured mod while still keeping with the design philosophy of Civ V.
Feel free to comment or not, but I will be using this thread to update my progress on learning. Thanks.
