Hahhaha funny one :)

anyone by the way know the formula for if a Triremes sink or not? and if the algorithm is based on how far out you are etc...

... well, except when they meet your battleships, of course ;)

:)

Perhaps it would be interesting to have non-100% stay afloat rate for ships other than trireme? Say 75% stay afloat probability for sails (you could "discover America" with them, but not base a dependable transport on them), 90% for frigates and say 98% for the rest (perhaps 99% for carriers).

Ships still do sink nowadays, quite regularly.

[Note: I feel this would be complicated to hack into civ.exe]

Looked up that one too in CIV code: it's a coinflip, 50% chance of sinking, period.

And also: computer-controlled triremes never sink...

Thanks DarkPanda, always wanted to know this, I felt that sometimes when going straight or not too close to land it more often didn't sink, now I know it doesn't matter.. it is just 1 or 0 :)

too funny... I think I'm going to mod the boat-related pop-ups to all reference pirates of the Caribbean
