I installed Half-Life 2 Episode 1, everything was fine until I went to play it. Steam gives me this message;

I click continue anyway and the game loads up just fine. I start a new game and it loads just fine until about 70% of the way, when my RAM and CPU are working at 100% and it takes a few minutes to finish loading, and then nothing happens. I'm stuck at 6 FPS with a blank screen. I tried this twice and was forced to restart my comptuer both times.

So I go to update my drivers, when I go to install the new drivers, it says that the one I am trying to install is older than the one I have already.

Also, the item in the start bar on the left by the start button, Logitech G-Series Media Display, I can't open it, it isn't in the end proccess list that i can see and I am wondering where it came from as it only appeared after the first time I restarted my computer due to Hl2-E1.

So what the heck should I do?

ForceWare 97.92 driver is for Geforce 8 series only. Download the correct driver from the link you posted

Nope, got the same message.

I'll check the game to see if it works now though >.>

EDIT: The game worked just fine, until the first ingame map load where it didn't load and was using up so much CPU and RAM that FRAPS was stuck showing 152 FPS even though it was probably more like 0.

EDIT: Checking the steam forums, I'm not the only having the problem, but no help yet :(
