Hey, I recently reformatted, and lost my hall of fame files, and I want some entries in mine  I am gonna put back the ones I remember by memory by editing the hall of fame text file. I am just asking, how do I do it again? I know I use notepad, but the different values. I know some numerical value defines the difficulty, type of victory, etc. What are these values? Also, does anyone know a general score for Chieftain for each victory type? Or I'll just use HOF, and lower it (since im not Hall of fame caliber :crazyeye: )

PS-dont think Im skipping the game...im the kinda person who needs completed game files for all his games, and i want completed HOF entries for vanilla and PTW, since I'll mainly be playing conquests......THANKS IN ADVANCE>

The order is: leader name, civilization number, score, difficulty number, victory number, victory/loss

The civilization numbers I know are: Rome-1, Egypt-2, Greece-3, Germany-5, Russia-6, China-7, France-10, India-11, Persia-12, Aztecs-13, Zulu-14, England-16 (I believe the original civs keep the same number for all expansions). You can probably figure out the others.

Difficulty number starts at 0 for chieftain.

Victory numbers I know: Military (being eliminated or winning by conquest)-1, retired-5.
Victory numbers I'm unsure of: Domination-0, space-4, cultural-2, diplomatic-3

1 represents a victory; 0 represents a loss.

I have no idea on a reasonable chieftain score. The score in my vanilla HOF is 533, but I don't even know if I won in 2050 or retired.

thanks anyways, pal.

Ages ago I wrote a Perl script to translate the Hall of Fame file into a .csv file. If you open it in Notepad the annotation is good enough to explain what every number means. It's all in order.
