So I was/am/still are a huge CivIII fan, and purchased CivIV about two weeks ago. However, I am a relative gaming novice (gaming is a study break activity from law school studies for me) and bought the game to install on my laptop.
I did not realize that the graphics were such that my imbedded graphics card would not allow the game to operate fully. I am an idiot. I can play the game basically, though many of the options are unavailable and I am unable to save games (really annoying when I lose a 3-4 hr game).
My system: Acer Travelmate 250 notebook, Pentium 4 CPU 2.80GHz, 512 RAM. My graphics card is an Intel (R) 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphic Controller.
I contacted the Acer support staff and they told me that my computer cannot be upgraded sufficiently to allow full game play. I realize there is likely nothing I can do but was hoping that someone would have some suggestion/solution that will allow me to fully enjoy the wonders of CivIV. Please help me if you can. Thanks
