Hotseat will not be available in Civ VII — A plea to FXS_Sar and Game Devs (POLL)

Hotseat has added value being on console as "couch co-op" is a very desired feature on consoles. The only problem I see is that hotseat Civ is a game for those with more patience than many gamers in general tend to have. I would love to get my wife to try it hotseat with me, but she doesn't usually respond with an interest in historical themes or games that are not action-oriented gameplay. There is a small chance I would get her to try Civ 7 out with me if it had hotseat but it is a small chance. I have only played hotseat a few times with a friend of mine and I do enjoy it, but I prefer online with him as he is competitive and will scope out your strategy after he ends his turn and then adjust his aggressively, if you don't watch him. But it would be great for teaching someone new to civ how to play casually on a random Monday evening.

The removal of hotseat is (in civ vi terms) cultural regression from a golden age medieval era to a dark age renesance losing the entire enlightenment.
The decision sends a the very wrong message to families that play together that civ vii is not for them.

The benefits of reinstating hotseat:
Socially: spending real together time as family or group of friends socialising
Environmentally: less devices burning power
Entertainment: play on big screen tv

Hotseat was not in Civ6 at launch either though. And isn't used much I guess, as telemetry has a lot to say for what a game company prioritize these days...

Is there play by cloud? Lately I only play civ6 exclusively in play by cloud. But actually i never played any mutliplayer only solo or play-by-cloud.
