hi can anyone help me. I can build all variety of air craft- but i can't figure how to make any of the bugger move. i am sure it is me beingvery stupid but does anyone know how it is done (is there special keys).

also how do you make an army with a leader.

if anyone can help i will be most happy ;) ;)

In Civ3, aircrafts aren´t moved from tile to tile. They don´t even have Movement-points. They are stationed in a city, from where they do their job according to their abilities. For that, they have an action radius. You can re-base aircrafts if the city they are currently in is to far away for them to get into action.

To create an army, the leader must be in one of your cities. Then just click the "build army" button. btw, it must be a military leader of course.

EDIT: Oh, and welcome to the forum!!!

in the preferences menu somewhere there is a checkbox for enabling/disabling a bunch of little buttons on the bottom of your screen that you use for giving orders to units. i have a suspicion you have yours turned off. if you turn them on you will be able to hover your mouse over them to see what the shortcut keys are for most unit actions including for example your aircraft.

btw if you ask why i dont just spit it out and tell you what the shortcuts are ... im not sure because im at work. it might be B for bombing run and R for rebase.

Shift-R is rebase. :p

EDIT:

B - Bombing
S - Air Superiority
R - Recon

Or so I remember... :hmm:

You don't move your aircraft about like normal units, instead you can tell them to perform a mission on any nearby tiles.

To build an army, firt you need a military leader, then you move him into a city and click the build army button.
