HELP...DO I have too many mods?

DAMMIT.
I just spent 2 plus hours playing a new game with those same mods last night.
It worked GREAT.
Then I went to load the saved game just now, and it crashed.
Exactly what happened last night when I tried loading a different game with mods.

So clearly then it seems the issue is with loading, any explanations or suggestions? Thanks.

Are you familiar with this thread? Installing Mods on Civ5 for Mac

I would assume you are since you are using mods on a Mac, but I threw the link just in case you did not previously know of that thread. Perhaps there might be some information in there to help you.

There is a bug that sometimes manifests with Civ5 where the savedgame filesize is something like 12kb. Are you getting that? I don't remember what the 'fix' if any for this bug was, but there was a thread on here somewhere in the main Civ5 modding forum that at least talked about it some.

Actually the only thing I have done with mods on my mac, is when browsing in STEAM, when I see a mod I like, I click subscribe, then when I open up Civ, I click enable mods, and it downloads. I'm totally unfamiliar with anything else as I thought this was fairly simple as an end user.

Well, I guess this is a case of one issue down, another two up.

First, trading routes is NOT displaying on my main screen as seen in this image.
For some reason, tourism is...but the rest is cut off....see the screen images below.

1st one is at turn 111:

Second is later in the game, notice how when I have more faith...the top display cuts off more and more:

The second issue, which is even bigger....so I am playing my game, all of the sudden sometime between turn 125 and 145, I no longer can access the "production" screen for my cities.

See this below at turn 111 (1st image)....I can choose what to produce as I need.

See this below at turn 165? The ONLY way I can choose what my cities produce is by first clicking "purchase"...then once in the purchase screen...click produce...BUT it only lists those building which can be purchased...so in other words...any national wonders or wonders of the world I can't choose to make since those can't be purchased (get it)?

When I try to choose production first, it just clicks a blank. Anybody else ever had this? I just don't understand why every game I am running into these issues......sigh

Based on what your screenshots show, you are running a mod that changes the Top-Panel lua and possibly another that alters the cityview lua. One or another of the mods you are running is also adding a new type of citizen-specialist which accumulates points toward generating a Great Prophet, it would seem.

All of these mods appear to be not working correctly on your computer, are in conflict with one another, or are in themselves not made correctly. I suspect it is either the first or second -- they aren't running correctly on your machine or they are clashing with each other.

Which modes change the LUE/city screen?
Is this an issue b/c I have a mac OR is it just a mod issue?

I'm not familiar with which mods make the changes I am seeing so can't tell you which one it is. But it is not anything from the unmodded game, therefore has to be coming from a mod.

So far as "is it a mod-clash?" or "is it mac?" again I can't really say because I don't have mac and don't know just how differently macs will run when usings mods that make changes to the game's UI.

OK...I THINK I might have found out the problem.
So I am playing another game, same mods, and no issues.
Then all the sudden around turn 144 the same problem happens, I no longer can access choose production for my cities.
I re-load the autosave a turn before, it is fine, until again I get to turn 144. What happens at turn 144? I discover education....which allows a Yeshiva to be built, a special building for the Israel mod.

So I go back to the autosave, change my research to construction, and boom, at turn 144, as I discover construction and not education....everything is fine.
SO I think we can reason that the Israel mod I am using is the issue, correct?

What is even more odd-er is that all the versions of Leugi's Isreal mod that I can find add a Macabee unit to replace the standard swordsman for Isreal, and a Kibuttz tile improvement. No building called a Yeshiva.

Which version of the mod are you running? The one I have is V7.

Looks like I had installed two versions, and was using the first one attached (which did have a yeshiva)
