Help, friend and I can never finish a game

What happens is that, in a random point during the game, it gets stuck on next turn for either of us.

Its really frustrating. We save the game and reload it but then about 2 turns after it happens again.

Does anyone have a fix or know whats going on?

I had the same problem on 2 player co-op and found that autosaves loaded okay but games I saved did not. So try setting autosave to every turn.
