Help! Helpers needed!

hey Fellow Civ 'Fanaticans' (?)

im very new to the Civ Fanatics database although i have used this website a lot...

to the point, i am looking forward to creating my own scenario's with my own designs (city, units etc.) but i have no idea how to do it!!! if anyone can teach me from the ground upwards how to create custom units and building and import them into civ 2 that'd be great!

Did you try the thread "Scenario-making for beginners" yet ? Or the civ2 manual ?

If I recall correctly, you can make new units simply by editing your rules.txt file [but make a back-up copy first] and you can change the graphics file several ways ... but I think the civ2 gold edn includes a crude graphics editor, which may be simplest. Haven't done this myself in many years, and hope some scenario people will also answer.
