HELP! Install mod?

Hi,
i have a problem instaling mods manually.
When i download it i get a civ5mod file. But where shall i place this file?

Hi Ginni,
I assume you place it in:

Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/MODS

That is the normal place mods end up, try it, let me know if it works.
I don't know EXACTLY what you downloaded so it is hard to tell, but put it in a folder of the desired name if it doesn't work just placing it there. So try putting in the directory above, if that doesn't work put it in a folder inside that directory.

That directory is based on windows 7/vista I think, point of interest. It'll be something like that though.

Didn't work, but if i tell you it is the Unique Balence mod by elistor... Do ypu think you can help me there?

Hi,
The maker of the mod pointed out it is in the online inbuilt mod sharing facility.

Just load your game, go to MODS, go to ONLINE (middle of screen at top) and then browse for it by name in the SEARCH box, just type unique balance and it should come up. Then click download. Once it is done, you go to 'installed mods' tab (top left) and there should be a button bottom right that says 'INSTALL MODS' or something like that. Click it. It'll be done, then just select it by click the round symbol, it should turn yellow (or something like that) and that's it! Just click back, and then go into single player (in the mods menu area still) and it'll be loaded laready.

Let me know how this turns out or if you can't do it that way for some reason. It really is the quickest and most convenient way to do it.
