Help making units

What program do you guys use to make units b/c frankly i really suck at using the fantastic worlds unit editor.

Everybody sucks using the FW editor. It's not very useful.

Most of us use Adobe Photoshop, (expensive) or Paint Shop Pro (shareware). These have advanced editing features too numerous to mention. You would have to invest some time in learning to use the product in order to produce anything useful.

I use a combo of Adobe PhotoDeluxe (initial adjustments like brightness, scaling) and MS Paint (pixel editing and the final arrangement). I only use PaintShop Pro to convert the title.gif to the right format.

hmmm ok well where can i get paint shop pro b/c frankly i doubt i can afford adobe?
