I can't declare war to anyone anymore, I declare war on some1 and the next turn half of my kingdom is in civil disorder  is there anything i can do to reduce WW? i have the wonder(darn, cant remember the name of it right now) that reduces it and police stations in almost every city...
Help plz...

Don't luxruies keep people happy and therefore have an indirect impact on the amount of war weariness?

If that is true, then you can adjust the slider as well.

Switch to Monarchy if you are constantly at war. There must be a reason that this Government exists.

But to fight wars in Republics, you should try to get more luxuries, market places, temples, cathedrals... lots of ways to make people happy.

Sometimes you need to put some entertainers in cities.

Just use the CITY GOVERNOR: Mood manage citizens.

They are not always perfect, but they never let your cities slip in disorder. They are always watching. :) Do not let yourself tell how bad it is to use a governor even for this meager task. He does it quite well, and it works well up to Demigod level, really.

Not complete true!
When I have too many cities in the beginning and did not already build
the Forbidden Palace civil disorders occur.Only managing the city yourself
will stop the disorder.Maybe it also occur with the FP,I'm not sure about that.

Oystein has made an exhaustive study about war weariness:

Knowing the inner workings will help you to avoid/reduce ww-points.
On top of that, you may sometimes even take an advantage from war happiness.:)

The wonder, Universal Suffrage, is not that great. IIRC, US makes just one war-unhappy citizen content per city (absolute effect). So you would not feel much of an effect in a big metro, since the different ww-levels always affect 25% portions of the population per city (relative effect).
Police stations have a relative effect (IIRC 25% get content, only the war-unhappy), so combined with the corruption benefit (which would also effect the entertainment portion of commerce), they're better to rely on.

I guess you went back to war too early (ww counter still at high level) with the same civ.

The quickest thing you can do is adjust your luxury slider - ALWAYS check your luxury slider if you are going to war. Before a war, I like to make sure I have lots of allies - it seems that if you have an MA your people won't get as upset as quickly. Also, its a great idea to pay big $$ for an added luxury or two (spice, gems, wine, etc) before going to war.

By the way, the luxury slider is the most underused aspect of the game for those playing < Emperor. If you have a lot of entertainers in your cities, you are likely suffering significant production waste (as these fold aren't working). Sometimes adding 10% to your luxury slider will cost 50gpt but after you do it, the very next turn, with everyone working, you'll be making all of that back in profits.

MA don't have a direct impact on ww.
Chances are you have lesser losses because your allies are keeping enemy troops busy.
Say, w/o MA, your enemy would raze 3 of your cities (which has an impact).
Now you have a MA ally who sits between you and your enemy - that would probably minimize the risk of troops getting into your territoy at all.
I recommend to read Oystein's thread.

Surprised no one has said this, but if an AI declares on you, you're getting war happiness. It is like having a decrease in 10% on the luxury slider, or gaining another luxury so a big  What some people try to do when they need to go to war is they try to goad the AI into declaring on you and not the other way around, to trigger the war happiness effect. This would delay war weariness. And yes, give yourself breaks in between wars to let your citizens become happy or content again from the peace.

I have the luxury slider on 70% !!! and I have all the luxury resources...there are only 5 nations remaining in the world and 3 are my allies, an I hadn't been at war with some1 for nearly 70 turns...(never with this nation) there is nothing I can do...before starting the war I had 14 happy, 4 unhappy and 2 content citizens in a 20 town, but as soon as I declared war it was- 0 happy 15 unhappy and 5 content

Sry, i wanted to post a save in my first post in this thread but i wasn't able to do it, i just couln't open the folder that contains all my save files, I clicked on it but nothing hapened :S
Well, but I think it's getting better now, i rose my luxury slider up to 90% and now I can manage with the cities(they'r now 50% happy and 50% unhappy) so i just have to turn 1 citizen into an entertainer and city stops rioting, but I still can't do anything with the cities I conquered last(the last civ before the 1 I am at war with now)...but it does't bother me so much anymore cause now only like 10 cities are in civil disorder...
But thanks to all who tried to help me...i did some of these things and it a helped a bit...

What I did to fight against WW was, remained in Democracy during peace times, which is most of the time. This is because i was earning money in democracy....not just money...a s**t load a' money. :goodjob: Anyway, when my annoying Indian neighbours gave me a reason to attack them, I immediately switched my Government to Communism, and waged war :) If you have Conquests (which i now have) Fascism might work too. Anyway, Communism isnt the most profitable govt. but it totally kills war wariness :) make sure you have the wonder that lets u switch Govts. straight away though, otherwise you'll be hanging around for a while waiting for the government to change. (Its the Stat O'Lib i think) :crazyeye:

Simple but effective solution :p
