Help Please!!!

Hi CivFanatics-

I am a Mac Civ5 player, and I really want to make mods. However, I have none of the SDK tools. Is it possible for someone to compress the SDK tools into a .zip file and post them in this thread?

The mod tools require Microsoft's .NET framework and MS-Visual Studio Stand-alone, so I'm pretty sure you're going to be out of luck, even if you can get hold of the distro.

Well I have access to a Windows computer, so I would put the SDK on there. It's just I don't have Civ5 on that computer.

Can you use your Steam account on that computer? Then you should be able to download the SDK there...

I don't have Civ5 through Steam.

I would need to get the SDK tools by download/if anyone can post them here, it would be great! That was the whole reason why I started this thread!!

Doesn't matter how you bought it; it will let you download. If not, turn to Steam's support.

I bought it on a Mac computer through the AppStore, with nothing to do with Steam. I cannot get it through Steam. I need someone to compress them into a .zip and post them here.

The tools for all games are listed on Steam, so it seems you don't even have to own the game to get them, you only need to create a Steam account... Can someone confirm if it's true?

Actually this is true for some games, but not Civ5....
