Hi all,
I'm running windows 2k, all up to date from windows update.com.
Athlon XP 3200+ Barton,
On Asus A7n8x Deluxe nf2 mb.
On board sound
1 gb ram
dvd-rom
cd-rw
80 gb ide drive
128mg radeon 9800 pro.
All drivers up to date.
I do not have any current problems runing other games, including oblivion, battlefront 2 and have done a few bench marks with 3dmarks03 to test my rig out.
The problem is this, after an uncertainy number of mins playing the game, or as the intro video gets to teh end (if I let it) the games crashes, the display corrupts (blue screen, some time with lots of bright colours all over it like an aold amstrad/spectrum game laoding) and then the system RESETS!
I'm at a loss what to do, I pondered if I'm overheating, but 3dmark and battlefield 2 push the temp higher than civ 4 (just!) and no crash.
I'm running 1.61 patch and have reinstalled civ4 a few time....
any ideas??
THanks for any suggestions...
