I have been working on a WW1 scenario for a while now. All that I have seem to done is to finish all the graphics. And now I am tired...I have made a map, added Africa, so that the colonial war in Africa would be represented. On this map I have filled it up with 256 cities, wich is the maximum, but as said I am tired.

I think this is a pitty, because I have spent almost 5 months up to now with this scenario, thinking out ideas, reading books and making the graphics all by my self.

This is where I want somone to help me, someone with a littlebit more energy. I could tell you how I want it, and you could make it a little bit as self fittet, but I want to be informed about the prosess, and offcourse help where that is needed. Everything you would have to do is to place units and to make the cities inhabitable.

My plan was to make it as a PBEM game. I hope that someone with good experience on scenario making would help me, so that we could make this "one for the books".

Civs included:

German Empire
Austro-Hungarian Empire
Russian Empire
Ottoman Empire
British Empire
French Empire
Italian Empire

(+barbaric civ as the neutrals)

Please help me!!!

This is the units I have made:

I will mail the rest of the files for those of you who are interested

cheers!

I like this new style with the small groups of units... :goodjob: Was that first used in Bonaparte v2?

Anyway: Good map! I made a scenario once (you can find it in the download section), that takes place in 1914. It's called Africa1914 and is about WWI in Africa... It wasn't very good. Yours seems to be! :goodjob:

I have a question: Will I get the Too Many Cities! dialog box when I play this scenario (assuming it is FW compatible)? That thing doesnt go away unless you press enter over a hundred times (literally).

You are correct about the Bonoparte v2 units. Actually he released his scenario right after I started with my units. I thought that would be alittle original with the small style units, but no... :crazyeye:

Anyway, I apreciate that you liked it!:D

Are you guys willing to help me finish it off?

It is a giant map, so you would have to use the MPG version. Yes, you will get the too many cities box up, but only if you try to build cities with your engineer. This box will on the other hand dissapear when you click enter - once(!).;)

Ill help you finish it....what do you need help on?

I have done all the "dirty work". Such as making the graphics, wich took a very long time. I have made the map, I am not sure about it anymore, feel that Africa is too big, but I do not know that yet. Apart from that I have made the rules.txt with hitpoints etc etc. Arranged the techs. And placed all the cities, and irrigated them etc etc.

I just need someone to finish it. Make some changes if you like. That won't be any problem. It just would be nice to get it out of this world:crazyeye:

ill help you for sure, but i doubt i would be able to test it b/c i only have fw and i cant get cedrics patch to work it just says fatal error. Can you make this scenario for fantastic worlds?

Um, actually the guy who made most units for bonaparte 2 has released two scenarios of himself before helping out with that one, those would be the first ones to use that unit style ;)

Edit:
Forgot:
His scenarios are called Casus Belli 1 and 2 (and I think there is a 3 in the works)...

I still want this scenario to be completed...anyone interested? I think it is only playable in multiplayer gold, since the map is huge. It is not really very much to do, I have done most of the work myself.

Hey Eivind!

I must say that this looks really great :goodjob:
But since I suck at making scens I don't think there's much I can do to help. :(

Henrik is quite right. There is a pop-up credit in Bonaparte II for Vegard Martensen, who came up with the idea first (as far as I know) and said I could steal it.

It is used in his Casus Belli II scenario, although for CB III he went back to single figures so he could show the uniforms in great detail.

Your uniforms are a nice compromise of the two extremes, Eivind!

BTW, I got 1/2 way through a "Western Front" scenario for WWI myself, but the AI was just too screwed up to handle the Atlantic convoys - either running or intercepting them. WWI only works for PBEM if it is not to be too boring, I reckon....I got too tired, as well ;))

Yes, great use of the units. :D I've been trying to make a mod pack that would replace the units in CIV2 with units that look like a real unit instead of just one unit.
