Help with Priesties.

ATM I'm mostly playing a lot of dark elf/fol games to try to get a hang of as much as possible before spicing it up.

However I'm pretty shoddy when it comes to priests. Obviously I have them running around blooming, but how do I give them other spell schools?

I believe with the .31 changes priests have set spell schools and that is that. The only end run around that I think is Govannon who can teach them spells which gives them other schools.

Is Vitalize a thing of the past then? I didn't see it on high priests of leaves. Or which units can cast it now?

Elves seem significantly weaker now. It seems like they did a big change to the build times of improvements on forests/ancient forests.

Can Vitalize with Yvain the wood elf, it's just a channelling 3 nature spell, so any nature archmage can probably vitalize, think druids as well?

Yup, last I checked, druids can Vitalize (Though they are only available to neutral civ's, so none for Viconia).

Yvain is by far the easiest terraformer to get though, and has nature Affinity +2 to go with it, so can get nice and beefy if you want.

I think most high priests are not worth it, since you get a religious hero that heals anyway. Unless you are playing a large game that requires multiple armies with access to heal, the one hero is generally enough. I'd rather invest in strength of will (costing the same as theocracy). Especally since svalt is arcane.

Either stick with FoL and get commune (Yvain), or go Empy (after fol and instead of hidden path) and then get religious law (Chalid) - either about the same total research cost. Either way, archmages after religious hero.

If you want druids with svalt, you need empy anyway (to get neutral), and can keep city raiding rathas when you go back to FoL.

Empy needs to give disiple without foundation.

I can't speak personally on the other relgious priests but the AV priests are definately worth it.
