Help with the tarnis the frozen

How the hex do you get rid of the curse -Nested. that crap is very annoying. I need some sort of comfirmation if that spell kills. One of my units got infected by it i moved them away to safety out in the water and the unit just vanished the next turn 2 turns with no script as to what happen. I just hate those cochoran things. you cant defend against them or stop that curse attack. how does there army spawn. how can they get there citys that big with little to no resources? there not much on these guys so im at a loss as to how to deal with them.
 
Most of their army has to be built, they start out with a couple champions and an adapt, plus some other random guys.

They're fallow and don't get unhappiness, so they can completely ignore happiness and health resources (see also: legion of D'tesh, Infernals). They get one Frozen soul that they can turn into population or transform into a normal unit every single time a living unit with wintered dies. It's hard for a unit to get wintered from fighting the frozen, but it does happen. The most common cause, however, is them popping off their worldspell to give every unit wintered. They've also got a building that gives them extra pop in every city when built that they can build in all their cities. All of this info is in the Civlopedia concepts section.

Nested can transform your units into baby versions of the guys who give it, whose name I cannot spell. I'd guess cure disease might work, or you might need a great healer built apothecary or healing salve. I know there is a way, because the AI used it when I was the Frozen once or twice.
