I've played the game several times but i ordered a some more Ram to speed up the game to 888 mb. I uninstalled the game to reinstall in get the error off my screen before everygame. Now when i install the first disc it gives me.

Error:::
Compnent CivCompnent
File D:\data2.cab
Error Data error (Cyclic redundacny check).

Now i have installed this game on my computer but i uninstalled because my pc would say that it is below the requirement but it would proceed and let me play but it would start to drag after sometime. That is why i upgraded my RAM. Please Help me if you can somebody!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The error message indicates, that there is something wrong with your cvi4 disc.
Make sure it is clean and has no scratches. Do you have another CD-drive? If so, you can try using it.

Edit: Oups, how rude of me. Welcome to CFC! :) I hope you'll like it here.

I just checked the disk it is clean as a whistle but i am currently putting it in my other driver as we speak and i'll keep you posted if this don't work, what do you suggest????

My guess would be, that your drive has a problem with the security protection.
Did you install a new patch after the reinstallation? Did it work fine before?

Yes my computer worked fine before but i haven't installed anything new that i can recall that would prohibit usage. I tried to download patches, but it said that since the game wasn't on there, it wouldn't let me install it so i'm not sure if that's the problem. I just deleted that the old patches so i will see what that do. I know my driver is clean, but if it isn't. What do i do then???

Man it just started working it is now on the second disk but the patches that i had was already on my pc. Now that i think of if, when i was downloading what i thought was a new patch it gave me back a message but i didn't read it. Maybe i download some corrupted software. Man it is about to finish downloading appreciate it. If you were in the panhandle in FL, i would take you to lunch. Have a good one.
