hey guys.

I thought that Gold was C3+PTW; Civ3 Complete has all three.
Mebbes it's changed, but I'd double-check if I were you. C3C is very different to vanilla/PTW.

That would be great, but they don't sell that at target. All I really want from the game is all the extra civs and the landforms and stuff. I'm not sure what updates were made in each

Here's a link to the changes in Conquests:

Conquests Additions and Changes

I highly recommend getting the version with Conquests. I played Vanilla back when it first came out, but when I restarted playing last year loaded CQ also. It's a much better version IMO primarily for the army upgrades, but the other changes are worthwhile too. I almost always play a Civ with the Agricultural trait.

"-- Armies. They now have blitz, they can autoraze terrain, they have 1+ movement point, and they heal faster anywhere."

Try Amazon or eBay; get Civ III Complete. It includes vanilla, Play the World and Conquests. Three games in one install.

It defaults to Conquests, which has more wonders and civs, in addition to some significant changes to Wonder rushing, corruption and the power of armies.

are these sites that have to deliver it to me or can I download it directly from the site?

steam is a massive gaming platform. You download and install the Steam software for free, then make an account. Steam offers thousands of games that you simply pay for online, then you gain access to download them right to your computer. Steam is the reason I play civ 3 now :D I used it for other games but I happened to see this game in the games under $5 section, and it had a good score so I got it.

Any regrets?

Any spare time left for minor things like eating and sleeping? :D

haha I haven't looked back. I do play it quite a bit, but I find once I have a game started, its pretty easy to save it and walk away, especially once the game is further on and there is lots of micromanaging.

can I get a link to that steam thing anyone?
Just Google for Steam; then at Steam Genre: Strategy -> Single Player -> Civilization III Complete.
