The June issue of the PC Gamer magazine has a nice 2-page preview of Civilization III. We reported this news last month and now we have scanned it for everyone to read! PC Gamer's Civ3 preview listed some cool Civ3 facts, such as:

[*]Number of Resources: 8
[*]Number of Years Covered: 6500 (4000 BC - 2500 AD)
[*]Number of Difficulty Levels: 7 (Civ2 had 6)
[*]There are 24 minor Wonders, and 12 major Wonders.
[*]Firaxis plans to ship Civilization III with 12 scenarios.
[/list]
The high quality scans have been added to our Civilization III Articles section. Each image is about 450 KB.

Well, another recent interview said CivIII is 80% complete...

Up to 8 civs can play at one time! WOO HOO!!! That's less than a lot of fanatics wanted, but I think that it's a step in the right direction.

Listen, strange women lying around in ponds, distributing swords is no basis for a system government.

Interesting...The game will go on to year 2500. So there should be a lot of future techs shipped with the game (Secrets of the Human Brain comes to mind) - is this good or bad?

12 scenarios is also nice. Then you'll have some scenarios to play before Kobayashi, Prometheus or John Valdez release new ones

I think that's exactly the number we want.

8 resources might be few, but then again as they are very implemented in the game that would maybe not be so bad.

7 difficulty levels is also good (I hope they insert one between Prince and King)

24 minor Wonders - isn't that too many minor? They don't have that big of an effect on your civilization, after all.

12 major Wonders - that's as I said, too few. I wonder if they have solved the Pyramid problem...

What's wrong with Bodø/Glimt?
