Hilarious (or sad) dev/producer/reviewers with poor civ memory

As Civ5 gets more and more info, I have seen more and more bits of info by players given out that is wrong about previous versions.

Sometimes, it is funny and understandable (obscure civ leaders in civ2 expansion packs, etc.)

However, it seems some reviewers have not been able to keep facts straight, and in fact, I just fell out of my chair laughing at this interview of Civ5 with producer Dennis Shirk.

When talking about the new hexagons vs squares, he mentions that in previous versions it was all about north south east west. "Okay," I thought, "yeah, I did really think about those terms but it wasn't exactly bad that I did..." :confused:

Then he continued, explaining that with Civ5 it was going to be more about diagonals. "When you're going at diagonals, it is more of a direct path instead of having to juke your way up a stairs".

:eek::eek::eek:

I think we can put this Producer down as having never actually played Civilization before... :lol: (to be fair, he never says you COUDN'T move in diagonals in previous civs... he just... heavily implies. :mischief:)

Have you seen any other hilarious bungles by people when talking about Civilization?

That got you laughing crazy? Um, if you pick a worker to move more than 9 tiles away it does not move the most direct efficient way. With hexes, it will a lot more direct.
