hippus mounted mercanaries question

How do you recruit them now that guilds aren't in the game anymore.

The guild became a wonder, you can still hire mercs by building the guild of the nine, unlocked at the same tech as before.
With the wonder you can hire mercenaries at any of your cities, without the need to spread the guild to it.
