OK guys, here is another STANDARD size map attempt.
Now that I have already beaten Demigod and been slaughtered on Sid, I follow your advice to try the Diety level instead.
I am wondering about one thing however. Is the Diety level on C3C more difficult that Diety on PTW and the eariest Civ3 ?
If so, I find it rather strange, cus I am whopping the AI's plenty on my current game.
It is 1550 and I have just started an all out war against the Dutch who is the strongest AI competitor. I need to strangle him before he becomes really dangerous. I have been behind since the very beginning of course, struggling to get techs fast. They sure wont give them to me easily or cheap. Just started for replaceable parts.
Settings were as follows:
Iroquise, Standard map, 60 % water Continents.
Opponents were random, Dutch, Mongols, Zulus and the Incas.
I am not 100 % sure yet, but I think I will grasp this victory if my campaign agaisnt the Dutch succeeds. I do have both the other AI's in a MPP helping me (or getting slaughtered by the dutch) The Mongols and the Zulus were thrown off my Continent so I should be able to destroy any invading force with my cannons and my cavalry. The exciting part will come soon as I try crossing the straight, and hopefully I wont do like I did on the Sid level, getting my army trapped. I will bring a settler this time.
My aim is to have ALL the HOF top scores for the STANDARD map size. I pretty much leveled the previous Emperor standard top score, so unless someone out there wants a piece of me, I will RULE the HoF standard maps.... WAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAAAAA
Reason why standard ? CUS IT DOESNT TAKE AGES !!
