Hoping for C3C PBEM game

I've been looking through the forum for a game to join but all of them are either full or started. So I thought I could start one of my own. The problem is I'm a newbie and don't know how to host. So I'm asking anyone to start and host one.

I have too many games on at the moment to join another, but I can help you do it, if you like.

Step 1,
Decide options:
- how many players
- how many ai
- what game settings
- are these options up for discussion with other players.
(read the opening entries of a few different games - you'll see the types of discussion - for example:

Step 2
- State the above by editing your opening thread entry.

- Copy the url for this thread.

- Post this url, along with your opening thread comments, into a new thread in the sticky games thread.

Step 3
- Monitor responses until you have enough people.
- Edit both opening thread entries to show the game is full, when you get there.

- Get final agreement on all the options


Step 4
- Start the game.

While you're doing the early steps, I can take you through game setup, so you are ready.
Alternatively, if necessary, I can kick one off for you.
(However, right now, I don't know how to do this without also taking the first move)

How many people are you looking for? A 60% water four player tiny map would be pretty exciting. Plus, the more people you have, the slower the turn moves.

If you still need a fourth, I'll join. I'm good for a turn a day, in the evenings. I'm at GMT-5. A tiny all human game sounds like fun! C3C 1.22 is good for me.

It might be worthwhile to have someone make a map to make the starts somewhat equivalent. I'm unsure who can do this though. I'm fairly new to PBEM's myself.

Settings? I'd say continents, tiny, 70% water, sedentary barbs, regent/monarch, random climate/temp/age.

Civs? I'd like to do a custom civilization for myself (base China).

I'm fine with those settings, but I really, really wanted to be the Regents, er, Regentians myself!

As for turn order, I can usually only play between 10 and midnight each evening. So if vikingruler plays earlier, its best to put him before me to keep the game to a turn a day if possible.

I wouldn't mind being the Persians myself. With only one customization - Leader: SpikeIt

Looks good. Playing with Immortals it should be fun chasing after all these fast UU's.

Question: Any rights to refuse a start? 1 per player maybe? I'm just thinking there wouldn't be a lot of pull to continue if someone started on an island of ice. The decision has to be made on first turn though, otherwise it could take a month to actually feel out the surrounding lands.
