What is hotseat exactly?
I've only played epic games and a couple senarios. Am I missing out by not trying it?

It's a form of multiplayer. One person plays their turn, then leaves the seat. Another person sits down on the seat (while it is warm, hence hotseat), and then plays their turn. This continues for however many players there are, and then the next turn begins.
It's basically just MP played on the one computer.
I take it you're asking this cause you've seen threads about people playing themselves? In my eyes, it is kinda sad doing that. So you're not missing out at all
For actual MP, I find hotseat a bit slow...

I personally enjoy Hotseat, playing it with a friend. We also tried using a cable and two pc's, but that was a bit slow? So we stuck with hotseat, relaxing and fun and challening.
