How do I get MGE to play Red Front ?

I'm looking for a patch that will "derate" my MGE to FW. Does anyone know of a tested patch that will work? I've dug up one that should work but doesn't.

I hate to skip Red Front but I don't want to buy FW on e-Bay just for one scenario, no matter how good it is.

Red Front runs fine on MGE.There is an events.txt that forbids negotiation so the "hostile" ai of MGE is no problem

It took me all of 30 seconds to spot that saved game was not in scenario folder.
