How do I identify the Holy Mountain?

I had the same quest in my first or second BTS game, and despite building loads of religious buildings I never heard anything more about this holy mountain...

I got the Holy Mountain quest in my current game; unfortunately, I'm playing on a Doughnut map with mountains in the centre, so chances are I will never reach it.

wouldn't that be a error?

It would most likely be a bug, but hey.

If you were really desperate, you could always go into Worldbuilder :)

After building a certain number of religious buildings, you got a message and one of those red "event markers" that marks the mountain. The problem is that you have to remember where it is because, the red circle (what I called event marker) is only showed once.

I usually don't bother with this quest, since it is quite hard, but last weekend I played a more religous game (I usually don't) so I had quite many religous buildings. Although I have completed the quest (one time) by chance.

If you hit alt s I think it is you can put a sign down on the map so when the red circle comes you can mark it off that way.

I had this quest in one of my first BTS games. I never did get enough religious buildings built to be told where the mountain is, but I did still manage to complete the quest. I had just discovered a new continent that just happened to have a mountain on it. I had actually, at that point, only remembered the quest to want more cities by mountains, so I built one right by it. Then I got a message saying I had succeeded. Of course, there weren't too many peaks in this game- only a few in my part of the world. It was just luck that I found it.

Hi

Using the event log is handy for things like that. If an event happens by really fast before you can see exactly where it too place. Like enemy spotted, improvemnt destroyed or the location of holy mountain revealed. Just open the even log --it that button towards uper left that looks like pencil and paper. Go down and click on event you want. Clicking on the event will make the map center on where the event happend so you can make a note of it or whatever and not have to try to memorize everything as the events flash by before your turn or play "where's waldo" afterwards hehe.

It's quite simple: you build a number of holy buildings (doesn't matter of what religion) and you'll get a notifier that points to the holy mountain. If you settle next to it / near it, all your cities will get a +1 happiness modifier..

The other way to identify the holy mountain is to settle near nearby mountains and see if any one of them is the one (in which case you'll also get a message)..
