So I download a ton of stuff, expecting them to be a easy install like sim city mods and the blue marble mod. Then, bam, "oh ****, what do I do now?" The python and xml I could probably figure out by myself. But what do I do with a dozen modified core DLL files? Please help.

Still a noob, bear with me...

    Thanks in advance.

Check that awesome guide and also don't tackle too much right away. When you say "a dozen modified core DLL files" that's enough right there to stop and take a big deep breath. Start by trying to add a unit or civ to a mod, then try combining some XML only mods, and then if you're brave you can try to combine python mods. But if I were you I'd simply try out some of the bigger combo mods and see what they've done before getting too frustrated combining stuff yourself.

Ah, thank you. But that brings up more questions.

Does that mean that I have to boot the mods every single time I play? If so, how do I make multiple mods load at startup?
