how do i make my own map

hi, this is probably a noob question, but how do i make my own map? is worldbuilder the only way? please answer

Yeah. Open a normal game with the number of Civilizations you want present through Custom Game, toggling all options you need. Then, enter Worldbuilder (Ctrl+W or Main Menu->Worldbuilder) and click on Map Mode. That will enable you to add terrains and resources.
