......I went to my User Control Panel and subscribed to "Civ3 - Strategy & Tips" BUT I don't get notified when a new thread starts up at that forum!

Interesting. I subscribed to the HOF forum, and it works fine for me. Then again, I didn't do it in the control panel. I used the subscribe to forum link at the bottom left corner of the forum page itself. Have you tried that?

I'm trying, my friend, but Thunderfall and Aeson are really haggling me on price. Even if they do sell, I'm going to have to do something about SirPleb and Moonsinger squatting on my property. I'd like to put a nice summer cottage there.

I misunderstood what Eman was originally talking about. He's expecting email notifications from a forum subscription and not getting them. Neither am I.
Are forum subscriptions supposed to send out the same emails as thread subscriptions? Or do forum subscriptions only show up on a user cp page?

I thought it was supposed to send emails on new threads. Considering how many new threads there are each day, it wouldn't surprise me if that feature was disabled. I recall TF saying last week that CFC is already sending out hundreds of emails each minute. Or something along those lines.
Now I just use that to jump between forums. Seems to be quicker than scrolling down to the bottom of the page and using the forum jump box. I use the Yahoo Companion search bar (along with the google bar) and it's just two mouse clicks to whatever forum I want to see.
