How do I update my DVD driver?

I know this is a dumb question. I am getting the "finish previous uninstalls and close all aps". I researched and think my DVD driver is out of date and can't figure out the copywrite protection. 2001. How do I update my DVD driver? IN DETAIL. Or, what is the problem with civ 4? I can't even install it at all.


P.S. I stop pirating and BUY the game and it won't even work!
