How do you find a city?

Sorry. I know this is a dumb question.

In Civ3, you could hit shift-L (or something like that) and bring up a city locator. You could even click on cities in the city list to jump to that city. Maybe I'm just dense or something, but I can't seem to figure out how to do the same in Civ4.

i know you can click on a city and page to all your other cites - in the upper left corner are 2 arrows forward and backward for just that purpose.

You can also use [Home] and [End] to cycle through cities on the main map, but that's a really obnoxious way to find a particular city, especially if you're on a huge map.

My apologies for the self-bump, but does anyone know the answer to this?

Judging by the lack of response, there doesn't appear to be a way to do this.
I would have thought that the City Advisor (F1) list would allow you to double-click (right+click, shift+click, press c) on a city and go straight to it, or at least center it on the map, but this does not appear to work.

Ugh. This is a pretty important thing to have left out, particularly considering that it was present in the last game.

Yeah, Civ IV does not have all the cool interface gadgets they promised. Heck, it doesn't even have most of the ones from Civ III! But it does have pretty graphics...

You can modify the production of a city from the Domestic Advisor (F1) screen. Just click on the city and look at the bottom of the screen. The production queue for the city is in the lower-left, the available units and buildings are in the middle, and the city itself will be blinking on the mini-map. I still think they need a "jump-to" feature, but this will help you until the patch.

You can also access this "city lite" feature by clicking the city's name in the main map.

Usually, when I want to find a city, it's because I want to change something it is doing (for instance to have my city with the largest production start working on a particular wonder).

Yes, and that does work as Radres said: from the F1-screen just click on the city and you can change its production DOWN BELOW IN THE MAIN SCREEN, not in the F1-screen itself.

I still miss jumping directly into the city detail screen from F1, though.. Firaxis please note..:D
