How do you kill a hyboreum?

Im having trouble taking the last city from the hyborieum(dont know how to spell it) the demon civ that spawns later in the game. One of the units called hyborieum has the fear effect so alot of my guys wont attack and by the time my stack is done attacking for the round he regenerates next turn. Is there anyway i can take him out easily? Like a spell that counters that effect or do i have to wait for a certain unit that could help?

The spell which counters it is called courage. Your adepts can give it to your troops if you have spirit mana.

The "courage" promotion will make your units immune to fear. It can be casted by a unit which has Spirit I. Demon Slaying would give you a bonus against him, and so would Blessed.

you have to kill him twice because of his immortal promotion
