How do you make a fishing village?

I've just noticed them in the territories of the Ljosalfer and the Clan, so I was wondering, how are they made? The 'pedia only lists the information about Lanun Pirate Coves, and since these are appearing in non-Lanun lands I was wondering how they are made. The only other conclusion I can come to is they could be from an event, which would make sense, but I wanted to check.

Oh, so they can be built with Fishing Boats? Just must not have noticed the option the few times I made Fishing Boats, but at least it makes settling next to the coast a bit more appealing when I'm not playing the Lanun

Edit: Tried it, it was successful. I feel a bit duncey for having not figured that one out myself, heh

In NON-Lanun games you create a work boat and hit the auto button, and much of the time the result will be that the AI will build a "fishing village" on the kelp and bypass a fish/clam/crab resource for example. So i tend to build my "resource" boat and manually build it on the boni resource first, then build working boats, hit auto until I have one waiting in port to be used.

Ah kay. I've never set work boats to automate anyway (since they're one-time use units) but I'll watch out for that.

the fishing village is a mini-boni (in comparison to the usual fish/clam/crab/pearl/whale) and gives a boost in gold and food i believe, which is why the AI likes to build them if you pay attention to the other civs.
