how do you undo rally-points?

After you have set a rally point for a city, how do you then make it so that that city has no rally point?

You could always set the rally point on the same city? Not the best fix but it should work =D

You set a rally point by clicking on the city name on the map, the one with the build and population number on it. Then shift+right click on the map where you want the rally point, a yellow circle should appear.

If you choose ALL cities, and do this, all cities will use the same rally point.

I have commented on this point in a half dozen threads and NOBODY can tell me how to turn off all Rally points at once, like you could do in Civ3. Its a pain.

I have tried shift-clicking on the city that I have selected to undo the rally point, and it did not work (or maybe I didn't click it properly)? Are you sure that works?

wotan- you said no one could tell you how to turn off all rally points at once -- how do you even turn off the rally point of ONE city?

I have successfully turned off rally points by setting a new rally point -- to the city itself.

So what if you set all your cities to a single rally point (as I often do) by using the Ctrl key? Do you have to go to each of your cities, one by one, and individually select each city's rally point as itself?

Until someone educates me otherwise.... the answer is yes. Its a pain.

I have another question though... can you select all of one unit type in a city with a mouse-click? Say I want only my tanks to leave.... can I click and select only tanks as a group, in just that city?

You can if you Ctrl-click a unit, it will select all the units of the same type in the stack. You can also Shift-click to group together units of different types. Once the group is made just clicking on the tile should select the whole group.

If you want to select everyone you can shift left click on the stack. Like putting them all on fortify (to get rid of them) for example.

Well, I think I found one way of being able to do it. What I wanted to do in my last game was set the rally point of all my continental cities to another city. It actually didn't do that. Instead, it canceled all the rally points I had.

Just to one of the cities on the continent, or to a city not on the continent?
