I am pruposely not making this a poll, because I would really like to see some discussion, not simply numbers of opinions. So, answer the question! The way I see it, there are at least two levels of intensity a player can choose to adopt when they play this game. The first is more of a casual play style where you may have a basic action plan before going into the game (such as what leader to pick; key techs desired), but mostly you just try to play your best as the game progresses, and maybe you've got a few tricks up your sleeve that you've picked up along the way or heard about in the forums. The other is the micro-managing hero who has fine-tuned his or her game plan to include things from what tiles he should have laborers on in any given situation to the exact course of technology research, and everything in-between!
So, which player are you, and why do you like to play this way? If you are number #2, how do you keep all that info from leaking out as you play? One thing I am loving about Civ IV is that is seems to have made both options more feasible than before. Option #1) Is easier because the game is just less of a headache to play. It's very easy to look right at the map and grasp your situation. Option #2) Is probably also going to be more feasible to a larger number of gamers than it was before for the same reasons.
Well, answer the question, already!
